Jay Martin
has focused much of his career on advancing biomimetic designs in prosthetics and orthotics. With extensive experience in clinical prosthetics, his inventions have focused on re-shaping the future of prosthetics. . His research as well includes numerous inventions, issued and pending patents, and products in non-medical fields including sports equipment, software design, education, and real-estate. Mr. Martin has received recognition from numerous state and national awards, including the 2008 Journal Record Overall Innovator of the Year Award as well as a finalist in the national Frank Annunzio Innovator of the Year award. In his capacity as Founder and President of Martin Bionics, Mr. Martin helped to create the largest research and development group in the nation specializing in advanced prosthetic and orthotic technologies. Jay’s lifelong passion is to help change the world through innovation, and to teach others how to do the same.
