Biennale Preview Party

[Artspace] at Untitled (1 NE 3rd Street) is hosting a Biennale Preview Party in honor of a dozen international artists who will be participating in the premier 2010 Creativity World Biennale presented in conjunction with the Creativity World Forum. The Biennale is an exhibition of contemporary new media art representing seven international Districts of Creativity. This Preview party is open to registered participants of the forum and to the general public for an admission fee of $25 at the door.

The land that is now Oklahoma has always been a creative frontier – an ancient forum for cultural exchange—for commerce, culture, and education. This artistic interpretation will immerse the audience in a one-of-a kind experience with American Indian performers from different tribes, fusing contemporary and traditional cultural expressions. It will also feature original music by Jerod Tate and the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra.

Three renowned Chickasaw artists, composer Jerod Tate, author/environmentalists and Pulitzer finalist Linda Hogan and award winning fiber artist Margaret Roach Wheeler bring Chickasaw culture to life in a scene from "Lowak Shoppala' -Fire and Light.
