2015 State of Creativity Forum
With the International Districts of Creativity visiting Oklahoma in March 2015, the State of Creativity Forum is springing forward to anchor their visit as the signature event during their stay. It’s going to be an unprecedented global experience, so save the date of March 31, 2015!
The fifth State of Creativity Forum theme is “All Our Futures: Ideas That Matter.” The forum will mark the 10-year anniversary of the Creative Oklahoma organization. To celebrate, Creative Oklahoma will host a collaborative online dialogue which will begin in January for ideas on how to make this Forum special with an Oklahoma flair for our international visitors, so plan to lend your voice with ideas and experiences to help create a memorable experience for all.
For forum enthusiasts and those just learning about the forum, the State of Creativity Forum is recognized worldwide as the original creativity and innovation conference in the United States. The theme for the 2015 forum is based on Sir Ken Robinson’s inspiring publication “All Our Futures: Creativity, Culture and Education,” which shifted U.K. creativity and education priorities under the Tony Blair administration.
While the founding principles are global, some may wonder how the State of Creativity Forum started in Oklahoma City. It’s no mystery to the state’s indigenous pioneering spirit that is pervasive and thriving today in all aspects of energy, medicine and product development. In fact, Oklahomans’ success in finding solutions, then and now, highlights the state’s reputation as one of the fastest-growing entrepreneurial centers in the U.S. Like Oklahoma’s geography, the forum is a central meeting place, a magnet that draws a cross-sector audience in education, business and culture from across the state, nation and globe.
Plan to attend and be inspired by presentations by some of the world’s most important creative minds and be energized with the opportunities for networking and idea generation. The festive environment features innovative business exhibitors, visual and performing artists and interactive conversation groups. And when the glow of the forum leaves you seeking more inspiration and learning, look into the pre- and post-forum creativity professional development programs offered through Creative Oklahoma’s cSchool.
